Inspired by Rivian’s Launch Mode event, CORC is inviting R1 owners to drag race their own vehicles on the Madras 1/8 mile drag strip as part of their Friday Street Legal Drags. The facility is very friendly and welcoming to beginners and provides a safe and fun way to explore our Rivian’s acceleration. An orientation will be provided by track officials at the beginning of the event and is the perfect time to ask questions. We will be racing each other’s Rivians only. (Unless someone with an ICE is foolish enough to challenge us. 😉).
Driver Requirements:
– Snell certified helmet (If you have one you are willing to share, let us know. The club has head socks for drivers to wear if you are borrowing a helmet. We can direct you to an affordable helmet if you’d like to purchase one.)
– Long pants
– Closed toe shoes
– Removal of ALL loose items in cabin, frunk, gear tunnel, truck bed, etc
– No roof top tent, awning, hitch accessories, etc
– Ensure your R1 is charged between 50% and 90% (The Madras RAN is super convenient!)
