The Central Oregon Rivian Club (CORC) and Portland Rivian Clubs (PORC) have partnered with the Portland Indycar race promotor to have a field of Rivian R1T owners drive their vehicles in the Grand Prix of Portland Indycar driver parade!
The driver parade will take place prior to the race on Sunday, August 25 at the Portland International Raceway, and entails 1 or 2 Indycar drivers standing in the bed of your truck (holding onto crossbars or a suction cup handle) as you drive at a maximum 20mph pace around the track in front of all the fans.
We are seeking fourteen R1T owners/drivers (two Indycar drivers per vehicle). PRIORITY ACCESS WILL BE GIVEN TO THE RIVAN CLUBS OF AMERICA MEMBERS OF THE CENTRAL OREGON AND PORTLAND RIVIAN CLUBS. If there is enough interest, we may be able to expand to twenty-seven (one Indycar driver per vehicle).
Participation will require an early morning arrival to the track. Details are still being worked out regarding exact timing, parking and entry tickets.
